Clinics
The doctors and nurses at Medwyn Surgery are able to offer a wide selection of medical services within dedicated clinics. This helps ensure we deliver the highest standards of medical care to our patients.
Acupuncture
Takes place weekly on Wednesday afternoons from 2-4pm. Appointments may be requested through your doctor.
Antenatal Care
Antenatal clinics are available with the midwife on Monday and Tuesday afternoons as part of the shared care programme with East Surrey Hospital.
Asthma
Our practice nurses have been trained in the management of asthma and chronic lung disease. Regular appointments are available on request.
Child Health Surveillance
Child immunisation and child health surveillance clinics are held on a weekly basis from 2-4pm on a Tuesday afternoon, to answer concerns with your childs development or immunisations.
Diabetes
Weekly diabetic clinics are held jointly with our practice nurse and Dr. Stewart Tomlinson on Thursday afternoons from 1 - 3.30pm.
Family Planning
Clinics are held on the 1st and 3rd Tuesday of each month from 6.30-8.00pm with specialist trained family planning doctors and nurses.
Joint Injection Clinic
A joint injection clinic is available once a month on a Wednesday afternoon. We are able to treat common orthopaedic problems such as tendinitis, policemans heel, carpal tunnel syndrome and osteoarthritis.
Minor Surgery
Minor surgical procedures are performed by the doctors on a Friday afternoon from 2-4pm.
Phlebotomy
This clinic runs on a daily basis. An appointment is required.
Smoking Cessation
Appointments available with a practice nurse who will provide support and advice on giving up smoking. An appointment is required.
Travel Clinic
Specialist advice/immunisation for travel to all areas of the world can be provided by our trained practice nurses. We are a registered yellow Fever Clinic. If possible, please contact the practice nurse two months before your date of travel as some vaccinations take time to work and need a course of treatment.
There may be a charge for some vaccines.
