Discussion:

Medical Kiosk

Discussion:

 

·         Medical kiosk used much more this month, but it was suggested that this could be placed behind a marked screen, because it was felt that patients were possibly uneasy at the chance of their personal data being overlooked by others in the waiting room.

 

Action :

·         LB is looking into ordering a screen                                           JS/JG to follow up.

 

 

 

Did Not Attend

Discussion:

·         JG has been analysing the date which shows the number of hours lost each month with patients not turning up for their appointments.

·         There is a DNA policy in place which is on the website for patients to access.

·         JG is in the process of sending letter out to patients each month.

 

 

 

Action:

·         JG currently analysing for each month and is starting to send out letters accordingly.

 

Carers:

Discussion

·         JS/JG have been looking at the carers reports, there are currently 530 carers which is low for the amount of patients that we have within the surgery

·         Some of these are not coded / picked up

·         JG to be sending out a questionnaire to the current carers and also meeting with the Carers Support Officer.

 

Action:

·         Accurx message to go out to patients

·         Facebook message to be sent out

Live well programme

Discussion:

·         This is provided by DHC and runs for 5 weeks in June.

·         The information has been shared on facebook and is in the waiting room.

CQC

Discussion:

·         CQC was last done 10 years ago

·         We are currently outstanding but the grading criteria has changed has changed which means under the new criteria we may be graded as good.

·         We are preparing for CQC to arrive at any time but expecting Autumn 2025.

·         CQC will notify us before they come and will advise what information Medwyn need to provide two weeks before the final visit.

·         Various staff from Medwyn will be interviewed.

·         CQC will also want to talk to the PPG – PPG to decide who to attend nearer the time.

 

Action :

·         JS shared tabled possible discussion points/questions for information.

 

How is PPG going to develop

Discussion :

·         PPG group are going to promote the PPG virtual group, to come in on a regular basis so they can share information and hopefully sign up more patients.

·         PPG also to promote and help the patients to access the NHS app.

 

Action :

·         AM is happy to promote, plus possibly AH to come along and be in the surgery/waiting room.

·         Also possibly look at coming along for the Covid /flu booster clinics in the Autumn months.

·         Roll up advertisement blind – Anne is going to look into.

·         ICB are offering training sessions at local libraries – possible one at Dorking Library.

Patient partnership agreement

Discussion :

·         This has gone out to all patients by text message.

·         PPG gave good feedback on this agreement

New Microsoft Form to be shared with PPG and virtual group re: using the NHS app

Discussion :

·         JG and JS have been working on a form to be shared with the PPSG and Virtual PPG group – “Using the NHS App or System 1”  (old system)

 

Action:

JG and JS to send out the form when finalised.

 

 

Any updates from GPs

Discussion :

·         The Partners have their next strategic meeting 3/6 – further information will come from this and how the PPG can develop.

 

Action :

JS to feedback at next PPG meeting

Discussion :

·         Appointment booked for PPG member of family.

·         The patient came in for F2F appointment when should have been a telephone call – received message which causes confusion.

Action :

JS to investigate with reception

 

 

Do all the Dorking practices work together:

Discussion:

·         JS confirmed that the Dorking practices work together as part of the Primary Care Network.

·         Practice managers work closely together
