Book travel vaccinations

If you're planning to travel outside the UK, the surgery can help with travel advice and information about vaccines for travel.

You must request travel advice at least 8 weeks before your departure date.

This is because some vaccines:

  • need to be given in advance to let your body develop immunity
  • involve a number of doses over weeks or months

The NHS is only able to provide specific vaccinations to its NHS patients for travel. These include:

  • Cholera
  • Hepatitis A
  • Typhoid
  • Polio

Before you start

The wait for one of these appointments is usually about 4-6 weeks so you need to book early to take advantage of free NHS travel advice.

If you need to have travel advice or travel vaccinations before the next NHS appointment is available then you will need to make an appointment at a private travel clinic where you will have to pay for the advice and vaccines.

Contact the surgery using an online form
